Post Brexit and Boris Johnson’s big win, Compass are hosting an evening discussion in London on 18 March to consider “the deep ideas and strategies needed to win next time”.

Labour MPs Clive Lewis and Jon Cruddas MPs will be joined by Caroline Lucas of the Green Party, Layla Moran of the Liberal Democrats and Tommy Sheppard of the SNP, plus Guardian journalist John Harris and Sue Tibballs from the Sheila McKechnie Foundation.

Together they will consider how “formal politics connects to emerging collaborative action already taking place in civil society and the new economy”.

“This is where real and radical hope comes from,” says Compass. “If there is to be a meaningful Progressive Alliance that wins office and power, it has to be built on values, trust, and policies – from the bottom up as well as from the top down.”

Called ‘So, Where Are We Now? From Crisis to Radical Hope’, the event at the Emmanuel Centre in Westminster starts at 7pm while there will also be a recording and possibly a live stream if it sells out.
