Crunch Times: Politics And The Crisis

 

ILP Round Table Seminar 

Esplanade Hotel, Scarborough

Sunday     14th June   9.30am – 12.30pm

 

Session 1: The economic crisis
• What just happened? 
• What does it tell us about capitalism?

Session 2: The mess we’re in
• What kind of world are we left with?
• What are the social, economic, cultural, environmental and political consequences?

Session 3: The left’s response
• What effect will have on the Labour Party?
• What should the left be arguing for?
• What are the prospects for socialism? 

 

Your are invited to attend the Saturday and/or Sunday sessions.

Admission Free — but it is necessary to register in advance.

Coffee and biscuits will be served during each session.

Lunchtime snacks can be purchased at the Hotel bar and evening meals can be booked at the hotel restaurant.

 

Bed and Breakfast at the Esplanade can be pre-booked via the ILP at a cost of £30 per person (£20 for ILP members).

There are a limited number of places at the hotel, so please book early.
